- DIGICOMPOSER ADDEDUM
- By Arvin And Noel @ NuEdge Designs
-
- This is a featured packed NoiseTracker/SoundTracker program. It has
- STE stereo support, variable frequency playback, and more!
-
- Unfortunately this program is also bug ridden!
-
- The first bug is that you can't instantly load MOD files off your
- hard disk. Biggest problem is that the programmer forgot to include
- the "\" key in the keyboard map so you can't access folders!. Real
- smart eh? Want a solution? Well here's one easy one....
-
- Get usable formatted diskette and insert it into drive A. Next run
- DigiComposer from the desktop or shell(HotWire is the best! - Noel :).
- When the DigiComposer menu comes up click on the Prefs button. Then
- click on the area that will save your prefs. After the program has
- finished saving the prefs to drive A reboot the computer.
-
- NOTE: WHEN USING A DISK EDITOR, BECAREFUL AS YOU MAY WIPE OUT YOUR HD
- OR FILES. IF YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO, IT'S QUITE SAFE!
-
- Next run a disk editor. DL II or Memfile are two good ones. Using the
- disk/file editor select DIGICOMP.INF file of drive A. You will see
- that the file has three paths listed. Now edit them using the proper
- directories. The first one is for the path to which the DIGICOMP.INF
- file will be saved. Next is where the MOD files are located. Finally
- the third one is where the your samples are located. Finally save the
- changes to disk. Run DigiComposer and it should work.
-
- BUGS: The STE prefs menu which can control the volume, bass, and
- treble locks up all the time!
-
- Thanks to Steve Whitney for getting this file of UseNet for us!
